Hyderabad, Telangana: NCC Limited is providing support to Friends of Tribal Society for supporting 60 Ekal Vidyalaya’s for an amount of Rs.13,20,000 (Rupees thirteen lakhs twenty thousand rupees) during the fiscal year of 2022 – 2023 in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Their core idea is taking education to the doorstep of every child in the remotest areas of Tribal Bharat but gradually transformed into a model of social change.
AGK Raju, Executive Director of NCC, Madhapur, Hyderabad has given away the cheque to Pankaj Adukia, Secretary, Dr. Ajay Agarwal, State Vice President, and Vishnu Gupta, Treasurer, representatives of Friends of Tribal Society. This initiative is part of NCC’s CSR interventions.
NCC Undertook a wide range of socio-economic, health care, rural housing, skill development, entrepreneurship and educational initiatives under its CSR strategy touching the lives of the marginalized population under the guidance of A.S.N. Raju, whole time Director and is headed by Manthena Peddi Raju.
Friends of Tribals society established in 1989 and is affiliated to Ekal Abhiyan movement with the goal of improving literacy and health among the Adivasis, rural tribal children in India by establishing Ekal Vidyalaya’s across the country. The schools are led by a local person who is trained as a teacher. The curriculum is basic literacy in the language of the state. Friends of Tribal Society has thirty-six chapters, established 75000 Ekal Vidyalaya’s and educated more than twenty lakh students across India.
